En garde! During this 90-minute workshop with instructor M. Derek Nieves, participants will learn the basics of sword fighting for the stage. After introducing stage combat safety protocols, participants will progress to basic striking and parrying positions, then more! This workshop is designed to address beginners' concerns and will provide more experienced movers and fighters with a refresher on the important essentials. This is planned as an outdoor workshop. We will monitor the weather for heat, rain, etc. and announce any changes to our those registered and on our social media. Please come HYDRATED, wear sunscreen, and dress comfortably to move in closed-toed shoes.
